GSC has partnered with the Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA) and Dassault Systèmes SOLIDWORKS to offer EAA members free access to the SOLIDWORKS Student Design Kit- EAA Maker Edition.
As the official SOLIDWORKS partner of the EAA, GSC’s technical experts will be on-hand at the EAA AirVenture Oshkosh, July 24-30, to discuss the member benefit and answer questions to help EAA members get started with this powerful computer-aided design (CAD) software. In addition, GSC will be offering EAA members exclusive SOLIDWORKS-related benefits including training webinars throughout the year and discounts on products and services including training seminars, 3D printers, and 3D printing services.
“As a pilot and airplane enthusiast, a partnership with EAA and DS SOLIDWORKS was a perfect fit for GSC,” said David Kasinskas, GSC President & CEO. “Our team is eager to help EAA members leverage SOLIDWORKS to dream big and further their aircraft innovations.”
“Since its humble beginnings in Paul and Audrey’s basement, EAA has inspired, enabled, and defended our members’ right to take a dream sketched on a napkin at the dinner table to first flight and beyond!” said Jack Pelton, EAA chairman & CEO. “SOLIDWORKS is the industry standard for computer-aided aircraft design. Aircraft and kit manufacturers from Cirrus to Zenith are designing today’s aircraft in SOLIDWORKS, and now EAA members can get free access to this powerful tool.”
“Dassault Systèmes is passionate about developing the toolsets to make 3D product design accessible to the average person with an idea and an insatiable desire to build it. In the Experimental Aircraft Association, we have a partner with a storied history of inspiring and enabling that desire in its members,” said Suchit Jain, vice president of strategy and community at DS SOLIDWORKS.
