Fluid Dynamics During Intubation and Flow Simulation

Learn how SOLIDWORKS Flow Simulation helped evaluate and perform several design iterations of the development of an intubation chamber for medical personnel. We used SOLIDWORKS Flow Simulation to accurately model a patient coughing in order to evaluate and validate the Intubation Chamber design. When modeling, we mimicked the coughing of aerosolized particulates during the insertion of endotracheal tube, before the patient gets connected to a ventilator.
